MUSIC INDUSTRIES

Today I will talk about various music industries where you can sell your beats or songs. Consider that I was not done my homework neither I have prepared for this, I just type how it goes from my head.So....lately I was thinking where to aim with my beats so this is opportunity for readers and at the same time for me to learn something, because who knows what lies in my head hehe,I'm just kidding. So let's begin...
The first and well-known music industry is Trap/Hip-hop industry and can be seen as the biggest one. I'm not trying to merge those two styles, I'm just pointing how rules are the same for those two genres. I mean artists can be different in their styles but the method for getting together beatmakers and artists are the same. There are many ways how to get in contact with each other via Facebook, SoundCloud, Instagram and many other ways that are up to the personal choice of the individual. For what I've learned till now it is crucial to get close with artists from beatmakers perspective, it is also important to be on service for those who will respect you as a beatmaker and of course to have high quality beats with your own recognizable style.
That is the sum of all important things and the only thing is how many efforts will beatmaker put in the marketing field to achieve results, once again that is up to individual choices which will vary as much as final results :)

Second good standing music field is the gaming industry and if you look how various popular styles merge with game music it is obvious that there is some money for beatmakers to search in that field of music industry. Ways to put yourself in that industries are a little different than the first one because those game studios are interested in a particular style which must be delivered in a way that fits game(various themes of the same melody, different moods for different levels and so on...).It is advisable to make short compilations ready to be checked and after that only job is to find emails of those gaming studios and approach them with your work and wait for a response so you can start negotiating terms and all other stuff.

The third industry will be the beats for commercial usage(ads, presentations, background music for videos...) and that is represented on various freelance pages as Upwork, Fiverr and similar pages that are offering connections with that kind of customers. Building your own trademark in this field of industry is possible via a good response from customers after finished work. As those good responses are rising so business will. Another way to distribute your work in that field is to make a professional niche in a form of a website and to attract customers offering them your services via mail, paying for marketing or doing SEO optimization for your web page.

Last industry for today will be movie industry and that one is hardest in terms of quality output in a form of music tracks. In all industries mentioned above, you must know that you are competing with best studios in the world where often budget is not a problem at all, so that implies you must deliver the best of the best. I personally have a friend who scored to make deal with the studio from Hollywood after 5 years of constant uploading his songs on various forums asking what is needed to improve. He was holding his focus on the same thing and there he is, living in a suburban district filled with money, full overhead with projects and deadlines, he reached his dream, but I know his path was crooked and only hard consistency helped him to win this battle so I hope you can learn  something from this short presentation. Right

now I can't remember any more fields where to put your music for sales but if I come with something worth mentioning I will make the second sequel of this, till then...good luck with selling your beats ;)
